You can add various types of attachments to a post to enrich it with information and data useful for people: text files, spreadsheets, images and photographs, videos, PDFs... All of these are important to give your Post an extra boost!
To add one or more attachments to a post:
Click on 'Choose File' in the post creation screen;
select the files you're interested in, then choose 'Open' or 'Attach a file from your device';
complete the operation by clicking the 'Publish' button.
If you use your Google account to access Interacta, you can use Google Drive to attach files to a post. During post creation, you will find the option 'Insert from Drive' in addition to 'Add attachments.'
Attachments can also be added using the 'File upload' field that you can find during post creation, both in the web app and mobile app. This field will display the attachment within the post itself, rather than in the post details under the 'Attachments' section.
The added attachments will be displayed in the 'Attachments' section of your post in creation, allowing you to manage, edit, or delete them before publishing
When you add an attachment to your post, you can leverage your smartphone's capabilities to enhance your content with real-time photos:
Click on 'Add attachments';
choose the type of attachment between 'Take a photo' or 'Attach a file from your device'.
When you take a photo, you can review it before attaching it to your post, edit it, or cancel its publication:
Choose 'Take a photo' and capture your photograph;
select ✓ to confirm;
click on the ✓ icon to complete adding the photo to your post;
(Optional) click on the 'Crop' icon to crop, resize, or rotate your photo, or click 'Edit' to add text or drawings directly on the photo, with various color palettes that you can change using the palette at the bottom. Click on x if you want to cancel the changes;
(Optional) click on the three dots in the top right corner to manage hashtags, rename, delete, draw, or crop the photo;
(Optional) before attaching your photo, you can add other attachments by clicking the + icon at the bottom left.
You can also attach and share an image or photo directly from your smartphone's gallery using the 'Share in Interacta' feature.
When adding an attachment to your post, you can use your smartphone to enrich your content with real-time recorded videos:
Click on Add attachments;
choose the attachment type between Record video or Attach a file from your device.
When recording a video, you can play it back before attaching it to your post or cancel its publication:
Choose Record video and start recording, then stop when you're finished;
select ✓ to confirm the video;
play the video to review it before attaching it to your post and click the ✓ icon to complete the addition;
(Optional) Click on the three dots in the upper right or swipe up to rename or delete the video;
(Optional) Before attaching your video, you can add other attachments by clicking on the + icon at the bottom left.
When you add an attachment to your post, you can immediately change some information, such as its name and reference hashtags. This allows you to customize attachment data to make them more easily searchable within Interacta by you and your colleagues participating in your community.
After selecting your attachments, click on "Select" to choose all the post attachments or select only the attachments you want to modify:
Edit Attachment - If you have selected only one attachment, a window will open to rename it or, where possible, assign hashtags;
Manage Hashtags - If you have selected at least two attachments, you can assign community hashtags to your attachments;
Click on "Save" to confirm the operation.
Before publishing, you can always edit or delete an added attachment:
Click on the pencil-shaped icon to edit the attachment. You can rename it and add or remove hashtags. Then click "Save" to confirm the operation;
click on the trash can-shaped icon to delete the attachment. If you want to undo a mistaken deletion, click on the "Restore" icon that appears next to the deleted attachment.
After selecting your attachments or adding a video or photo, you can use the dedicated icons to modify their data:
Rename - Change the name of your attachment. You can only do this for one attachment at a time. Click "Rename" to confirm;
Manage Hashtags - Assign community hashtags by selecting one or more from the list. Click "Apply" to confirm;
Click the "Submit" icon to complete the addition of your modified attachment.
Before publishing, you can always edit or delete an added attachment: click on the attachment again to change its characteristics, and then use the "Submit" button to apply the changes.
After adding, editing, or deleting attachments, you can continue to customize your post or click "Publish" to finalize the publication of your post.
Even after publication, attachments can always be edited or deleted. Additionally, you have access to the version management feature, which allows you to overwrite an outdated version of the attachment with a more up-to-date one.
Attachments are an important tool in Interacta for sharing information and data. You can have an overview of all the attachments in a Community using the dedicated viewing feature:
In the web app, access the Community for which you want to view the attachments, then click on the "Customize" button at the top right and select the "Attachments" style.
In the mobile app, click on the paperclip-shaped icon located at the top right.
In the Attachments View, you have the following features:
Unified or separate display of media and documents: You can view both media files and documents within the same view.
Advanced filters in the sidebar: There's a dedicated section for attachment filters in the sidebar. Here, you can easily filter results based on the type of attachment you want and its properties. You can also combine attachment filters with post filters to create new custom quick filters, giving you a tailored view.
Custom sorting of results: You have complete control over how results are sorted in the attachments view. You can sort files by name, creation date, and modification date of the attachments. This feature allows you to quickly find the desired files and organize attachments according to your preferences.
These options in the Attachments View provide an efficient way to manage and organize your attachments based on your personal preferences. Use these features to easily access multimedia content and documents within your Interacta community.
When you add an attachment, you have the option to categorize it using the #hashtags of the publishing community. Hashtags act as one or more "labels" that allow you to categorize attachments, and they will assist you and other community members in searching for content and attachments in the future.
To add a hashtag to a new attachment from the Post Detail:
Click 'Add attachments' and then select the files you're interested in. Choose 'Open' or 'Attach a file from your device';
click on the pencil-shaped icon and select the #hashtag of your choice;
complete the operation by clicking the 'Save' button.
To edit the hashtags of an already uploaded attachment:
Select the attachment;
click 'Edit attachment' and select the #hashtag of your choice;
complete the operation by clicking the 'Save' button.
